Unexpected Boutique: Unusual, Upcycled and Recycled Handmade Jewellery

Welcome to the Unexpected Boutique, an independent collection of handmade jewellery, made in County Durham, UK.

Here you will find necklaces, bracelets and earrings made with found objects, recycled or upcycled materials, odds and ends from my making-materials stash, and generally anything else I can get my hands on that looks like it has potential to be turned into jewellery.

It's been a bit quiet on this website for a while, but that's partly because I've been making a whole new Etsy shop. I decided that my range of felt jewellery - which I've always thought didn't quite fit into the Unexpected Boutique website - needed a place of its own. So now it has its own Etsy shop, just for felt beaded necklaces, bracelets and earrings - which is over here. Yes, it is called Felty McFeltface. (What?)

As for the Unexpected Boutique: I've just been given a huge pile of new old-stock yarns, which belonged to my mum's husband's mum who died some years ago. They've been sitting around in a basket, not being used for anything, for ages - but now I'm hoping to use them in my new range of fabric jewellery.
