This is a one of a kind rustic style recycled bracelet made with reclaimed fibres, buttons and beads.
The bracelet base is made with fabric scraps – an outer layer of burgundy cotton corduroy (mostly hidden under the buttons), a mustard linen jersey lining and brown vintage wool yarn to stitch them together. It is hand-sewn in a rustic style and is 3cm wide, with an inner circumference of 17cm.
On the outside of the bracelet are many buttons and beads in burgundy and brown. The buttons come from my collection of mostly vintage buttons, and the beads are re-used from broken jewellery.
This is a bangle, meaning it is a fixed size and does not open or close or stretch to get it over your wrist. You just squeeze your hand into it – so you need to make sure you hand is small enough to get it in! The interior circumference of this bracelet is 17cm. You will need to measure the largest part of your fist to make sure it will fit, or compare to another bangle that you know you can get onto your wrist.
This item is a unique, hand-sewn item made in a “rustic” style – it is not trying to be neat or look like a machine-made thing. It is intentionally a little wobbly, not in perfect straight lines, and is meant to emulate folk art. I have done my best to show this in the pictures – please look closely and check that this style of jewellery is what you are looking for!
