Jigsaw Puzzle Jewellery
Sometimes a jigsaw puzzle loses just one piece, and thus loses its job - it can never be completed, and cause only frustration to its owner. But instead of letting it all get thrown away just because one piece is missing, my mission is to turn those unwanted puzzle pieces that can no longer be used into jigsaw puzzle jewellery.
If I get a jigsaw puzzle piece with a nice piece of pattern on it, I may well use it just as it is. But the boring pieces don't get thrown away either - they can be given a completely new pattern using paints or ink, to create unique necklaces and earrings.
All of the jigsaw jewellery is strengthened using acrylic glaze, which makes it water-resistant but not completely waterproof (no wearing these in the shower, please!)
I've used two different puzzles to make jewellery from so far - one very bright puzzle, and one more subtle-coloured puzzle featuring lots of different kinds of bird. People often comment that most designer jewellery does not have half as much personality as these pieces.
The jewellery you'll receive may not be exactly the same as the piece pictured (every piece of the jigsaw is different, after all!) but will have the colours matched to the jewellery pictured here, and will be completely unique.
